2009 A Junk Odyssey
Apologies for last week’s unexpected guest strip. I was working on a special comic-related piece for relatives, which had to be done by saturday, and there was no hope in hell of me being able to do both. On the plus side, while working on the other thing, I developed a series of new artistic techniques that I’ll roll into the strip over the next few weeks. Nothing drastic, just little things that improve the overall look and don’t take any extra time to draw.
Anyway, back to this week. Today we unveil the mysterious basement! I went a bit overboard on the detail in this one I feel, there’s a pile of little in-jokes around the place, plus a bunch of stuff we intend to use in future strips. This room has been planned for quite some time, but I’ve never had the time to actually draw the damn thing. The end result isn’t quite like I imagined originally, but is actually not too bad imho.
