Body Conscious
First off I’m not sure if the animation will work through RSS, so if there’s nothing happening, load the comic from the site.
Trent’s been bugging me since about the 2nd strip to do some sort of animation. As I was coming up with the concept for this strip I decided to give it a try, and it was actually alot easier than I imagined. The only downside is having to limit the colour palette to only 256 colours. Sounds like a lot right? For comics it typically is, but I love using gradients and transparency and other crazy compositing effects. 256 colours runs out pretty quickly, and you end up with ugly banding everywhere.
Not sure if animation will feature very much in future strips though. It’s somewhat of a novelty, I might throw it in occasionally here and there as a scene dictates.
Insider knowledge: The main narrative of this comic was stolen from a short story called “Body Conscious”, but it’s ok. It was written by me. 
It seemed to suit Postie’s hallucination quite well.
