The First Hit Is Free
Ahh… simpler times. When men were men, Biff was wearing a shirt, and Postie played Wow. I’m somewhat proud of the fact that I actually had to spend some time researching the reputation grinding stuff in WoW in order to actually write that last joke. I’ve completely lost touch with the intracacies of the game. This is a good thing.
Typically, the final part of the drawing process is placing the speech bubbles. And because it normally saves time I copy an existing one I’ve already done and move it to the appropriate spot in the comic and then edit its contents. I say, “Normally” because today, on no less than 3 occasions, after having gotten the alignment and layout (line break wise) of a particularly tricky piece of dialog absolutely perfect, I managed to screw something up and cut instead of copy that speech bubble. Of course, I’d only realise after I’d completely done the next one, rendering any sort of undo virtually pointless. Gah. Damn you tiredness.
